From running his first kitchen at age 19 to operating some of America’s best-known restaurants, including 11 years as EVP of operations at The Cheesecake Factory where he opened more than 100 restaurants across the U.S., he brings his hands-on approach, decades of experience, and steadfast determination to every project he touches.
In 2004, he joined forces with Dan Simons to found Vucurevich Simons Advisory Group (VSAG). Mike Vhas dedicated his expertise and passion for the hospitality industry to transforming good ideas into great businesses for over 150 of our VSAG client’s brands, and counting. From multi-unit concepts and boutique restaurants to global hotel brands and food trucks, he instinctively develops the right balance of menu, operations, and design elements with his unique touches that consistently set our concepts apart.

Having grown up in Northern California, he has traveled the globe and lived not only in California, but also in New Orleans and Austin, TX before settling in Washington, D.C. He and his family love to travel and experience the sites, music, arts, theater, amusements, and of course all kinds of food along the way.
