Take Your Seasonal Flavor Profiles to the Next Level

With summer firmly in our rearview mirror and fun, fall festivities upon us, we’re ready to take our seasonal flavor profiles to the next level.

And what better way to infuse fall-centric flavors into your menus this season, than by some fresh ideas we’ll furnish from our culinary team?

Always in search of the latest and greatest ingredients, preparations, and profiles to offer our restaurant consulting food & beverage clients – here are some great seasonal, fall flavor ideas from our kitchens to yours.

Savory Muffins & Biscuits. In seeking new flavors to speak to our clients’ guest’s seemingly endless appetites for different tastes and combinations, we’ve looked to warm, classic, savory bread for inspiration. Think innovative flavor combinations such as pimento cheese biscuits, pumpkin spice dinner muffins, and cranberry orange muffins.

The Magic of Maple. Our chefs are experimenting this season with fresh-from-the-forest maple-infusions for dishes such a side dish we recently created for a client featuring maple orange roasted autumn vegetables, as well as a perfect sugar alternative we’re incorporating in baking, yogurt, and the like – any dish that calls for some sweetness.

The New “Superfoods.” We still love our kale and quinoa, but as these ‘superfoods’ have found their way to more mainstream menus (rather than the vegetarian, vegan, meatless menus of seasons past), new variations are being served-up. Take inspiration from our culinary teams working on new seasonal dishes like toasted farro salad with black kale and pecorino drizzled with hazelnut vinaigrette, and featuring red quinoa on a client’s DC menu.

Our chefs are continuing their quest for Indian-centric taste profiles, as diners are experiencing a surge of interest in the vibrant flavors from this region. In fact, our culinary team is adding innovative, delicious, seasonal Indian flavor infusions for our client, American Tandoor, to spice-up traditional Thanksgiving classics, such as Tandoor fire roasted turkey, sticky sweet and sour pork, chai masala pumpkin pie, and roasted sweet potato with pomegranate and star fruit.
