VSAG Client News: Founding Farmers King of Prussia Opens!

We love to see our clients win. From implementing strategic, successful training programs to full-service rebranding to spearheading a new restaurant opening, our team is in it to win it. In for the short-term fix or long-haul project, however our playbooks needs to run.

Today, we celebrate the win of client Farmers Restaurant Group (FRG). Opening the doors to their sixth restaurant this morning, Founding Farmers King of Prussia is FRG’s first foray outside the DC metro area.

Our team has guided the FRG crew throughout this amazing process and they are ready to feed and quench the thirsts of the good people of King of Prussia, a bustling suburb of Philadelphia, with their special brand of farmer-owned, farm restaurant, scratch-made goodness.

The buzz has been fantastic. And our very own, Dan Simons VSAG founder and FRG co-owner, has been out in front. Here’s just a sampling of recent press Dan and the restaurant have garnered:

The Times Herald talked to Dan about the secrets to success. From love of community to the company’s commitment to sourcing from American family farmers whenever possible to a shared affection for a great, big brunch spread, Dan was an open book and encourages all to do the same when it comes to supporting our nation’s farming communities. “I want to arm you with the questions to ask because that is what is going to move the needle on the supply chain. It’s a rising tide. Help family farmers in one state, help family farmers in all states,” Simons said.

That sentiment carried on in a recent Philadelphia Inquirer article where Dan was quoted as saying, “The mission is trying to spread the message of American family farmers and increase the demand for family farm products, while employing a lot of people [1,000 in the five restaurants, 200 more in King of Prussia], paying well above average, and being an awesome employer.”

Dan and the Founding Farmers King of Prussia team also talked to the Philadelphia Business Journal, the Daily Local, and Philly.Eater.com about the buzz surrounding their the new digs, the brand’s first foray into Pennsylvania, and their brand new bakery concept housed within the restaurant. First Bake Cafe & Creamery offers a variety of offerings like fresh baked breads, delicious scratch-made donuts, specialty blended coffees, and an array of house-churned ice creams for all to enjoy either at their cafe tables or counter or taken to go.
