We are proud to announce that our VSAG Founder, Dan Simons, was recently awarded the prestigious Don Hawkins Tourism Innovation Award from his alma mater Washington, D.C.’s The George Washington University (GW).

Unanimously selected by GW faculty and staff, Dan was recognized by GW’s School of Business’s Master of Tourism Administration (MTA) program for his leadership and innovation across the DC metro area, as well as his ongoing commitment to GW’s business management and hospitality programs, students, and the hospitality industry at large.

Established three years ago to recognize the contributions of Dr. Don Hawkins, Professor Emeritus of Management and Tourism Studies at GW, Dan was especially honored to receive this award as entrepreneur, business owner, sustainable practices advocate, founder of Our Last Straw, and GW alum & teacher.
