Our restaurant consulting and development teams have been busy working on another concept for longtime client, Farmers Restaurant Group (FRG).

FRG has announced plans to open the fourth installment of the successful Founding Farmers brand of farm-inspired restaurants. Working closely with the good people of Founding Farmers’ owners North Dakota Farmers Union, who represent the true heart of the brand’s vision and concept – the American family farmer – has been the inspiration for all the Founding Farmers restaurants.

We welcome Founding Farmers Reston to the fold!

Expected to open in late 2016/early 2017, Founding Farmers Reston will serve as the second Founding Farmers location in Northern Virginia as Founding Farmers Tysons opened last year.

“As we expand, we’re passionately committed to evolving with each new location,” Dan Simons said. “Each restaurant will always have its own personality and charm, from the interior design to the menu items. You can expect to see something different at Reston, including a rooftop-dining scene.”

When planning began for this restaurant, we knew finding the perfect Reston locale was paramount. And our team worked closely with our commercial real estate firm, Edge Commercial, to secure a spot with Comstock Partners for a 10,000sq ft space within the burgeoning and accessible Reston Station plaza development.

With its convenient location adjacent to the Wiehle-Reston East Metro stop on the Silver Line, this property will include corporate offices, specialty retail shops, restaurants, and entertainment venues.

We are excited for all the Founding Farmers news, including the DC-opening of sister restaurant Farmers & Distillers featuring an innovative, on-site distillery, as we look forward to working with FRG on bringing their concepts to life.
