The road to EMEA Operations is one that has brought Jake to our VSAG team more than once. Currently overseeing our restaurant and hospitality consulting ventures in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa/Asia, Jake’s varied experience is invaluable to our global team.
Jake’s industry journey began after spending a year abroad in Italy, and was solidified upon earning his bachelor’s degree from Johnson & Wales University as a food service & hospitality management Chancellor’s Scholar, then obtaining his master’s degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management as well as an MBA from Indiana University.
Garnering his initial industry experience with the world-renowned luxury brand, The Ritz-Carlton, was instrumental to Jake’s career path. Starting as in-room dining manager then rising to director of banqueting at the Doha, Qatar The Ritz-Carlton, Jake’s love of travel and the hospitality industry soon brought him back to the U.S. as assistant director of food & beverage, division head at the brand’s Cleveland hotel. After which, Jake moved to another hospitality company as assistant director of food & beverage, this time in Beijing, China.
In 2012, Jake landed at VSAG as executive business manager overseeing our DC-area executive offices, organizing workflow, and managing client relations. Soon, Jake parlayed that experience to oversee a long-term VSAG project with Radius Investment Group as director of strategic planning, based out of their Dubai, UAE office. With the recent successful conclusion of that project, Jake returned to VSAG.
From his travels throughout the U.S. to time spent in Europe and Asia to discovering the Middle East and Africa, Jake’s level of cultural and hospitality industry experience, as well as proven strategic business planning and management skills, offer our clients unparalleled expertise.
