What does it take to be a top-notch hospitality professional? Dan Kelly, a corporate and agency recruiter since 1994, knows. His specialty: tracking down talent for all facets of the food service industry, in particular, recruiting executive-level positions, chefs, and managers for restaurants, hotels, and contract food service. At VSAG, he oversees our talent acquisitions, bringing along his brand of expertise in boutique searches for hard-to-find hospitality positions.
Growing up on the Jersey shore and working in sub shops when he was just 16 years old, inspired Dan to pursue a career in the restaurant industry.
After graduation from Johnson & Wales University, Dan became a chef and catering director with the Marriott Corporation, later joining the team at a specialty food market where he was asked to participate in the human resources and training program, which was the move that led him to recruiting. From there, Dan recruited talent at a regional agency and with a firm seeking top talent professionals for the accounting, finance, and IT industries.
His overall experience has allowed Dan to gain the expertise for acquiring the high-quality talent he now presents to our clients.
