Fall Flavors: Adding them to Your Menu

When we think of quintessential fall flavors we begin to crave apples, butternut squash, cranberries, figs, escarole, okra, pears, pumpkins, sweet potatoes and the like.

The great tastes of fall make it a little easier to digest that, for most of us, it’s time to put away our beach towels and take out our favorite cardigans.

With a bounty of fresh harvests available, autumn is the perfect time to usher in the heartier offerings of the season and experiment with new flavor combinations, all while keeping your brand identity and guest taste preferences in mind.  For example, if apple cobbler is popular with guests, try caramelizing pears this season and top the dish with fresh apple-cinnamon ice cream; if pumpkin soup is a guest favorite, try offering a Butternut Squash-Chestnut Soup for a twist on a favorite dish.  But don’t stop there!  Fall is one of our favorite times to come up with creative, flavorful food pairings.
