As the concept developer and ongoing management company for this farm-to-table restaurant, VSAG has created and operates a concept that represents the best of American Family Farmers. VSAG provided full project management services during the development and pre-opening, along with developing all operational aspects including the food menu and complete bar program. The menu focuses on American classics with a modern farmhouse approach and the bar program is a true representation of pre-Prohibition mixology at its best.
Founding Farmers has been developed as one of the nation's greenest restaurants, with a menu design that includes fresh, regionally and locally sourced farm produced foods and ingredients, day-to-day operation as a Certified Green Restaurant and certification by the U.S. Green Building Council as DC's first LEED restaurant and the first LEED Gold upscale-casual, full-service restaurant in the entire U.S.
