Specializing in an array of culinary operations fields — including data management and integrity, marketing, and communications — Angela’s ability to work with all members of a culinary operations team and ensure data reliability and integrity have allowed her to shine throughout her career.
Angela has operated as Operations Support Manager for eatZi’s Market & Bakery in Dallas, a high-volume, menu-intense restaurant and gourmet-to-go concept with annual sales in excess of $50 million. While at eatZi’s, she headed the corporate operations support team, aided in research and development and generated and maintained all data for the food cost management database as well as the catering sales order system. What’s more, Angela acted as the marketing liaison between eatZi’s and its professional marketing agency to lead and coordinate all internal marketing.
Angela’s next role, as Culinary Coordinator for Romano’s Macaroni Grill, allowed her to flex her communications muscles as she collaborated with executives in marketing, human resources, purchasing and finance, as well as regional executive chefs, to coordinate and implement all culinary projects. Angela played an integral role in coordinating food safety programs, culinary training, menu rollouts and optimization, franchise support programs and the production and distribution of all food and beverage manuals and food rollout–training guides for more than 500 restaurants.
Angela demonstrated her ability to manage and analyze large amounts of data while acting as Director of Culinary Data Systems and Development at Eaturna, an all-natural fresh food manufacturer. She successfully implemented and managed the culinary database system and managed government applications and all other aspects of FDA and USDA food package labeling. Drawing on her communications expertise, Angela also helped maintain the integrity of the company website and acted as informational and communication liaison between Eaturna, the USDA, multiple vendors and manufacturing partners.
Angela and her widespread expertise in all things communications as well as data management and integrity — not to mention her unique blend of food retail, full-service restaurant, and food manufacturing experience — make her an invaluable asset to VSAG.
